Gray•Duffy, LLP Updates Crane Company’s Rental Tickets Due to Recent Changes in California Indemnity Laws.

November 2014

Overview

Attorney Matt Shorr of Gray•Duffy’s Encino office utilized his knowledge of recent changes in California Law related to indemnity agreements to ensure crane company’s job tickets were in compliance with the updated laws.

Discussion

The firm’s client Specialty Crane & Rigging Corp. had its standard daily job tickets used in conjunction with the loan-out of mobile cranes and operators. The terms and conditions of the job tickets were no longer in compliance with recent changes in California law as it relates to indemnity provisions. As a result, Mr. Shorr modified the terms and conditions on the reverse side of the job ticket to comply with the new laws, and also made enhancements to other portions of the job ticket form for the benefit of the client.
