Patrick Roberts of Gray•Duffy’s Encino office successfully resolved claims against its client, a landscape and grading subcontractor, in a construction defect lawsuit involving 40 residences located in Apple Valley, California.

Ford Family, et al. v. AV Skyline LLC In this matter, there were no developer entities left viable; therefore the plaintiffs proceeded directly against the various subcontractors. The plaintiffs originally alleged a total cost of repair for all defects in the amount of $5,849,447. The plaintiffs’ initial demand to Gray•Duffy’s client was in excess of $500,000. After numerous discussions with the plaintiffs’ counsel and the designated mediator, a total settlement of $2,500 was reached to resolve all issues alleged by plaintiffs in the litigation.
